Welcome to our school

Boardwalk Montessori is a school that provides and maintains a reputation for excellence in the education of children. For over 40 years, Boardwalk Montessori has provided a warm, loving, and nurturing environment for each child’s educational growth and success. Our school is situated in a family oriented community, near beautiful parkland and a lakeside boardwalk. It is unique to the neighbourhood in that it holds an accredited status with the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA) thereby meeting the highest of educational standards. The Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators is a legally registered Canadian, not-for-profit corporation committed to supporting Canadian Montessori administrators and schools. The CCMA provides a unified voice in negotiations with government and other agencies.

We acknowledge that the land on which Boardwalk Montessori School Inc. operates, on Queen Street East, is situated upon the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13, signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties, signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We are grateful to be able to work on this land, and we pledge to both continue our own learning about how we support the process towards truth and reconciliation and find opportunities to take action both professionally and personally.
